Ryan flew in his first helicopter when he was 16 years old for a birthday present and he has been hooked on helicopters ever since. He started his training in 2001 out in Seattle where he is from. Then went on to work as a flight instructor until July 2006 when he was hired on as the chief flight instructor for Advanced. Ryan has attended both Robinson and Bell factory training and loves helping to encourage new pilots. Ryan has set up a resource page for new pilots at ascension-helicopters.com
